The Role

It’s an extremely exciting time for OAK’S LAB, with many of our startup clients raising significant funding rounds and plans for growth both in Prague and abroad. We are now looking for a Head of Business Development. Reporting to our Chief Business Officer, you’ll be responsible for finding the best new startups for OAK’S LAB to work with. You’ll be building strategic partnerships with incubators, accelerators and investors whilst also doing your own outreach to the most promising startups in the world. You’ll be responsible for securing product development deals for OAK’S LAB DIGITAL with startups such as these:

We’re looking for a rockstar! If you love startups, building relationships and closing deals, we’d love you as part of the OAK’S LAB team. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the OAK’S LAB sales and partnerships strategy alongside the CBO
  • Manage a single Business Development Associate to ensure we are hitting KPIs
  • Grow and build our network within the startup ecosystem
  • Actively manage outbound sales campaigns using tools such as LinkedIn and HubSpot
  • Run qualification calls with potential startup clients
  • Over time, work with entrepreneurs to scope out their product and understand how we would approach building it at OAK’S LAB
  • Understand the OAK’S LAB product development process and be able to articulate it clearly to clients and stakeholders
  • Spend time in our target markets (US, UK) to attend client meetings, conferences and networking events
  • Create and present proposals for our work to clients
  • Our goal is to invest in some of the startups we work with. You’ll work our CBO to hep us identify startups we aim to work with.
  • Offering our startups as potential investment opportunities to our investment network

Skills & Requirement

  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English (C1 or C2)
  • You’re a hunter with experience in proactively searching for deals
  • Experience in closing deals with a high transaction value (over $20K+) in English 
  • Understanding of key sales processes
  • You are an elite communicator, with an understanding of how to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with and passion for technology and the startup ecosystem
  • A startup mindset, with a willingness to get your hands dirty in different areas of the business
  • Collaborative spirit with an ability to work independently
  • Some experience in managing a sales team

Nice to haves:

  • An existing network within the startups and venture ecosystem 
  • Experience in managing a pipeline of partnerships and deals through HubSpot or equivalent CRM system.
