Storyvine’s guided-video platform had strong enterprise traction, but it ran on a legacy architecture that couldn’t keep up with growing demand. To keep serving Fortune 500 healthcare clients and add AI-driven automation, the platform needed a ground-up modernization, without disrupting the enterprises already relying on it.

Kyle and Monique founded Storyvine so anyone, anywhere could create compelling, professionally produced video. With early traction from enterprises like IBM, Biogen, and Janssen, demand was growing faster than the original platform could handle.
They partnered with OAK’S LAB to modernize it, improving performance, scalability, and experience. What began in 2016 grew into a full product team by 2020, and in 2023 expanded into AI to enhance how content is created and managed.

The mandate was to migrate Storyvine’s legacy platform to a modern architecture without disrupting the Fortune 500 healthcare clients already using it, then extend it: a reimagined UX for onboarding and story creation, and support for complex enterprise permissions, workflows, and analytics.
It also meant building a scalable cloud pipeline to ingest, process, and deliver video at volume, and re-engineering the backend to support AI-driven transcription, video segmentation, and content repurposing.

We rebuilt the platform to be intuitive, scalable, and enterprise-ready, modernizing the UI/UX and expanding Storyvine’s branding around a human-centered approach true to its values (“Human, Magic, Enablers”), designed for users with no video production experience.
An updated visual language that reflects Storyvine’s values and simplifies onboarding for non-technical users.
A re-architected backend with privacy-first features and a fully rewritten cross-platform mobile app.
AI speech-recognition that automates transcription, content generation, and modular content repurposing.
A platform hardened for regulated healthcare, where one enterprise customer, Novartis, generated 5,000+ videos in its first six months.
