Reavo is a payment optimization mobile application designed to help consumers maximize rewards and benefits from their credit cards and loyalty programs. The platform addresses a common pain point for busy consumers who have multiple payment options but lack the time or knowledge to optimize their usage.
For users, Reavo provides intelligent recommendations on which credit card and loyalty program to use at specific merchants based on their location and available rewards. The app serves as a comprehensive wallet for both credit and loyalty cards while offering educational content to help users build better financial habits. The target audience comprises busy consumers, particularly those with multiple credit cards, who want to save money and earn rewards but lack the time to manually track and optimize their spending across different programs.


03. Challenge
Reavo's founders came to OAK'S LAB with passionate personal stories about family members struggling with multiple payment cards, not knowing how to maximize their potential rewards or loyalty benefits across various merchants. Still, their initial business proposal was scattered across too many different areas without a clear product focus.
They had identified pain points but lacked the specific knowledge about how the rewards and loyalty program industry operates. Without a defined product strategy or technical expertise, they needed a partner to help them navigate from a broad concept to a market-ready MVP, while providing information about industry realities and technical constraints.

Complete brand transformation
Rebranded from the original "Shark Fin" name (which potentially had negative connotations in the financial industry) to "Reavo" (inspired by “Reap” - earning and maximizing rewards), developing a new logo, visual identity, and brand guidelines to establish trust in the financial services space.
Technical architecture with future scalability
Built a React Native mobile app with hardcoded recommendation logic for MVP validation while architecting for future AI integration and Plaid connectivity.
Comprehensive feature development
