To support these complex needs, Blackpoint built Compass One, an integrated platform that eliminates vendor fatigue by offering a complete cybersecurity suite. However, customers explicitly requested a critical missing piece: Cloud Posture Management, the ability to manage security policies across client environments proactively.

MSPs needed to enforce hundreds of security policies across dozens of client cloud environments—something operationally impossible to manage manually.
While established cloud posture solutions existed, Blackpoint chose to build rather than buy to retain architectural control, avoid integration complexity, and deliver exactly what MSPs needed.
The challenge was to ship a competitive solution fast, fully embedded within Compass One, and support a unique dual-view MSP/client model.
This was a true greenfield engagement with no existing development work. The team owned the entire product lifecycle from discovery through production, working directly with Marc to shape the product vision and translate it into a working platform.
The engagement began in Q4 2025 with discovery and architecture, transitioned to a dual-track delivery phase, and successfully rolled out a live pilot with real users by the end of April 2026.
A web-based platform enabling MSPs to create, enforce, and manage security policies across 50-100+ Microsoft Entra ID cloud environments from a single interface, eliminating the need to log into each client environment individually.
A unique global view for MSPs and a tenant view for clients, allowing enterprise clients to manage specific policies internally (like authentication or access controls) while MSPs handle broader security oversight, something no other cloud posture solution offers.
The ability to define standard security baselines (typically ~100 policies) and deploy them consistently across entire client portfolios, with automated synchronization and conflict management.
Deep integration with Microsoft’s cloud environments (representing ~90% of the market) to pull, configure, and enforce policies at scale with proper error handling and sync management.
Comprehensive reporting tools enabling MSPs to demonstrate their security work to clients, showing incidents prevented, policies enforced, and security posture improvements over time.
Delivered the only architecture on the market enabling shared policy management for both MSPs and their enterprise clients.
The Cloud Posture module integrates seamlessly into Compass One, enabling Blackpoint to offer MSPs a bundled suite of security tools from a single vendor.
